The Argos Institute provides education and training courses, and conducts conferences, seminars, and workshops, addressing a variety of technical, operational, and policy issues associated with space-based technologies, applications, and solutions. In addition to conducting its own program of education and training, the Argos Institute works in cooperation with a number of other academic and educational institutions, policy research organizations, and professional associations in order to carry out its mission of providing multi-disciplinary education and training. The Argos Institute is an operating division of the Argos Foundation, Inc. A not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, AFI is devoted to the development of space-based applications and solutions in support of educational programs and applications, environmental protection and science, humanitarian applications, and peace & security applications. The Argos Institute has a number of new programs under development. An example is our series of “space facility” seminars. Each of these seminars examines the history, current operations, and future of the world’s space launch and operational facilities. Over time, participants in this series will be able to visit and learn about a number of our civilization’s spaceports and space-related research facilities, including their history and development, current activities and programs supported at each facility, and future plans for space launches and operations. These seminars may be taken at your leisure, or for academic credit in association with our partner academic institutions. The Argos Institute is planning a slate of new educational opportunities in 2005. Please contact us for more information on any particular offering. Check-back for our fully-functional Website later in 2005.
